GenAI: Design principles

Outlining design principles for GenAI system:

• Do make it understandable why system benefits from GenAI
• Do build and test for safety
• Do make it accountable to people (humans can understand how the decision was reached)
• Do incorporate privacy design (users have opportunity to notice and consent before the data is processed)
• Do make it socially benecifial
• Do not cause harm
• Do not create unfair bias
• Do not use for cases that aims to cause injury
• Do not use AI for surveillance and privacy violations
• Do not violate human rights
